Advanced Photo-Editing Course


The aim of this course is to explore advanced Photoshop techniques mainly used in a photographic environment. The course will take learners through advanced Photoshop techniques like colour management, advanced selections and masks, skin retouching, shape dynamics, light enhancement, background change and landscape and still life photographic processes. The course is aimed at students who are already familiar with basic Photoshop workflow and want to increase their knowledge of the captioned subjects.

The Course starts on Monday 14th October 2019 and runs till the 16th December, 2019. All lessons will be held on Mondays from 18.00 till 19.30 at the Malta Photographic Society club house, 137, Old Bakery Street, Valletta.

The course will be conducted by Ramon Sammut, Malta’s foremost senior image editor and photographer. Ramon is considered as one of the best digital image editors in Malta, where digital monochrome is his specialty that mimics the good old times while flavouring it with today’s technology.

Ramon works on digital editing, tuition and commercial photography, while offering consultancy and business strategy for newcomers in the digital photographic environment, not solely to his local colleagues but also to established photographers in the UK.

This course will be given in 10 lessons, and will be starting on the 14th of October, 2019 and will run for 10 consecutive weeks till the 16th December, 2019. Lessons will be held on Mondays from 6.00pm till 7.30pm. Lessons will be conducted in English. Applicants are to be 16 years of age or older.

The Malta Photographic Society is a non-profit making organisation run by volunteers that caters for anyone interested in practicing the art of photography.
